About Debbie McCormick

Debbie was born and raised in Stony Brook, NY. After graduating from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill she went on to a 19 year career with Bank of America where she became a Senior Vice President in the Premier Banking Group. She joined Mark in the real estate industry in 2005. The communication and client focused skills she learned by earning her BA in Psychology and from her experience with many of the bank's premier customers are heavily utilized to assist both buyers sellers in their home related transactions. The McCormick Team has proudly and consistently achieved high levels of closing production within Berkshire Hathaway Home Services- year after year reaching the Chairman's Circle Diamond, Platinum or Gold Levels. This past year (2025) they reached the Diamond level which places them among the top 1/2 of 1% of all Berkshire Hathaway HomeSerives Brokers/Agents NATIONWIDE! They also were named on the list of 2024 "Top 100" brokers in the Triangle Real Producers Magazine. They could not have done this without the constant support and referrals from friends, family and most important from satisfied past clients! Debbie and Mark pride themselves not only for the extraordinary relationships with clients but also for pleasant and respectful working relationships they have had with co-broker colleagues on the other side of the transactions throughout the years. This was celebrated as Debbie was presented with the Orange Chatham Association of Realtors (OCHAR) "Realtors' Choice" award for 2019. An award she was nominated for and voted to win by her peers and colleagues across the region, not just within the BHHS company! Adam McCormick (Mark and Debbie's nephew) joined the team in 2024 and has enjoyed diving head first into the Triangle real estate scene. Adam is from Vienna, VA and graduated from James Madison University in 2023. He spent many summers as a camper and counselor at Camp Kanata in Wake Forest, NC, and loves the Triangle area. Mark and Debbie were extremely involved and well connected within the Chapel Hill - Carrboro City School public school system for many years (2004-2020) before their children graduated from Chapel Hill High School in 2017 (Kyle, a 2021 graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill's Hussman School of Journalism and Media) and 2020 (Haley, a 2024 graduate of the Univeristy of Tennessee-Knoxville and a current second year MPH student at UNC- Gillings School of Global Public Health). They have both volunteered for Meals on Wheels since 1999. Their favorite pastimes are spending time with Kyle, Haley, and their Goldendoodle Wally, attending UNC sporting events, supporting local restaurants and sharing their love of Chapel Hill/Carrboro plus its surrounding areas with family, friends and clients.
